Monika Pikhartová

Monika currently studies stars and compact remnants in galactic nuclei as sources of deterministic variability phenomena but is fascinated by space science of all kinds. She studied acceleration of solar energetic particles in shocks during her Master's and variability of protoplanetary disks during her Bachelor's.

Outside of research, Monika loves sports. She spent about 15years competitively swimming and recently started playing volleyball and beachvolleyball. When she's not studying, working or playing sports, she's probably lost in a good book, especially one that contains fantasy, sci-fi, mystery, romance or their combination.
